This detail shows the iron rich glaze with ash stains and flashing effects from wood firing.
The kiln is fueled with various types of local wood collected from fallen trees and construction leftovers. The result is the presence of ash stains from a mixture of wood that includes coffee, guava, rubber, pine, and eucalyptus.
