Exercise in Mediation, 2008

This performance took place in November of 2008 at the Rhode Island School of Design in a defunct facility that used to serve as the college library. The audience was asked to write a regret on a sheet of paper and to leave it anywhere inside the space. The writing utensils provided had pigments that were water soluble. As the participants came in and out, I looked for the papers throughout the space and erased each text with my saliva using pillow filling as a brush.
